In the same way that the skills of our modellers go back generations, Silverdale Bathrooms as a company has a venerable 30 year history and has manufactured products for such revered brands as BC Sanitan™, Vernon Tutbury™, Balterley™ and Jacuzzi®. Today we market our products under the Silverdale™ brand in acknowledgement of the special skills nurtured by the community local to our site and we continue to invest in this precious heritage through the apprentices we take on to train and work alongside our senior modellers.
We also have a strong heritage in the designs of our bathroom collections. Suites such as Victorian and Belgravia are the epitome of period styling and design at their glorious best. Inspiration is taken from the details and lines prevalent in the designs of the Victorian and Edwardian eras as well as the architecture, furniture and artistic constructs of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.
Many of the pieces have taken their cue from authentic 19th century designs as displayed in the Gladstone Museum in Stoke-on-Trent. Take a look at our Pinterest board devoted to Our Historical Inspirations.
Our contemporary designs are generally the creations of local designers brought up within the ceramic tradition but determined to push the boundaries of vitreous china design to new levels. Ascot and Oxbridge are two such suites while the iconic Windsor was the fruit of a collaboration between a local designer and the Pininfarina design house.
Whatever the source, each piece is the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation and is the ultimate in timeless luxury and quality.
